[ Other ]EC proposes stable budget for Regional PolicyThe European Commission presented their budget proposal for the 2014-2020 period on 29 June. With EUR 376bn proposed for economic, social and territorial cohestion, this remains largely stable compared to the 2007-2013 period (EUR 348bn). EUR 11.7bn is proposed for territorial cooperation. The budget will now be discussed by the Member States and European Parliament.
[ Programme ]Two project finalists at EU Regio Stars Awards 2011 Two INTERREG IVC projects were selected as finalists - from 66 candidates - in two categories of the European Commission?s Regio Stars awards. While neither won the top prize, it is already recognition of the impact of cooperation projects that both projects reached the final stage.

Lead Applicant Seminar presentations (2nd call for proposals)
Several Lead Applicant seminars were held around Europe to help Lead Applicants prepare their applications for the second call for proposals (period of time in which applications can be submitted to the Joint Technical Secretariat) .
The presentations made by the Joint Technical Secretariat and Info Point staff presented the basics of INTERREG IVC and covered the main aspects of project development, such as project activities, budget and finances, information and publicity. Special emphasis was also put on the eligibility requirements.
The six Lead Applicant Seminars took place in:
Munich, Germany on 10 November 2008
Riga, Latvia on 4 December 2008
Bucharest, Romania on 5-6 November 2008
Katowice, Poland on 4-5 December 2008
Rome, Italy on 18 November 2008
Brussels, Belgium on 24 November 2008Altogether 440 prospective Lead Applicants took part in these seminars and a total of 92 individual consultations were held.
